Receptionist & Kennel Hand

Job No: NVC312
Location: Tatura

Tatura Vet Clinic is a mixed veterinary practice of skilled Veterinarians, well-supported by friendly and efficient receptionists and nurses. The practice has been established since the 1920s, however we have a modern, custom-built clinic with excellent equipment.

We recognise the significance of pets and the place they hold in our families and our passionate and dedicated team are committed to providing a high level of customer service to our valued clients.

We are currently looking for a part time, dedicated Receptionist and Kennel Hand to join our lovely team. The working hours are approximately 20 hours per week, including Saturdays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking care of our clients and ensuring organisation and consistency in our administrative functions.

We seek an individual who will possess a positive attitude and have a passion for animals, the recipe for providing superior care and maintaining our kennels to the highest of professional standards. Ideally, you will be a Vet Nurse in training and/or have experience in a kennel/cattery or shelter, which has enabled you to understand and know the demands of this type of role. You will be confident, have an eye for detail and have a strong work ethic.

What we are looking for:

  • Solid reception experience in a high-volume environment
  • Confident and comfortable with systems, procedures and numbers
  • Approachable and personable with a passion for customer service
  • Strong time efficiency and organisational skills
  • Dedication and reliability
  • Compassion for animals
  • A strong work ethic and ability to be flexible with working hours
  • Experience in the animal health industry desirable but not essential.

It is important that interested candidates do not have any misconceptions about a day in a vet clinic - it's not all puppies and kittens! Above all, we need someone who will connect with our clients and ensure they have the most positive experience possible, be it on the phone or in the waiting room.

We are offering great conditions in a friendly team environment, as part of a national provider of veterinary services with the best standards of care.
